Junaid Here!
The Time for Action Is Now!

This June, Illinois’ 8th district has an opportunity to remind the corporate politicians in Washington that they are elected to represent the people – not special interests.

It’s been a long campaign season and the election is finally here. The time has come to take a stand against corporate influence in our policy-making.

So, why should you vote #JunaidInJune? Let me show you...

Vote for Policies that Don't Suck!

Soaring gas prices, a minimum wage that’s too low, and healthcare that won’t cover vision, dental, or hearing– Americans deserve better.

Honestly, these policies just suck. With so much riding on the decisions we make over the next few years, it’s time we elected someone who will pass common-sense policies that actually work.

If You Want a Real Democrat to Represent You!

In November 2020, the American people chose to move on from regressive Republican policy-making in favor of moving the country forward.

Unfortunately, my opponent didn’t get the memo– and he has worked with Republicans on issues such as expanding the death penalty. The people of Illinois’ 8th district deserve a real Democrat in office who will work to pass the Democratic agenda– not roll it back.

Vote for Politician that Doesn't Suck!

In six years of being our representative, my opponent has only passed 2% of his proposed legislation.

These are not the results that the people of Illinois’ 8th district need. We can’t afford to settle for two more years of inaction.

It’s time we were represented by someone with the skills to get the job done.

Property Taxes Are WAYYY too High!

Property taxes in Illinois are the second-highest in the country. When it comes to fixing property taxes, there’s good news and bad news..

The GOOD NEWS: this is an issue we can fix.

The BAD NEWS: it’s going to take a lot of hard work, forcing corporate politicians to have some tough conversations with their donors.

But don’t worry! We can fix our property tax issue by lifting the cap on property tax deductions so that the wealthiest among us pay their fair share as well as rethinking public education budgets with a collaborative, community-based framework that will ensure our tax dollars are allocated in a way that supports our students, teachers, and our community as a whole.

Let's Put Power Back in Our Hands.

All too often, our elected officials are sent away to Congress and forget about the people in their communities who sent them there in the first place. Let’s put an end to the days of feeling powerless at home while corporate politicians raise millions in Washington. It’s time that we put power back where it belongs: in the hands of the people.
